    ok so the surface area to volume ratio is 1176/1512. Is that less than 1?

    put surface area over volume in a fraction and if the fraction is greater than 1 then he shouldn't manufacture them but in this case it is less than 1 so he should manufacture them.

    is 1176 less than 1512? it is. if the numerator of a fraction is less than the denominator, isn't it less than 1? it is. so it is less than 1

    perimeter of the curve of the semicircle\[P=\frac{ 3.14 }{ d }\] in which the diameter is 1.2 meters. that would equal 2.62 now to find the whole perimeter\[(1.8\times2)+1.2+2.62=7.42\] which rounds to 7.4meters.
