    I'm really confused on this entire unit.... Would the horizontal distance be (-10,-8) ? I thought you'd subtract the two points to find the distance, tell me if I'm wrong

    for point A the x coordinate is x = -8 point P has the x coordinate of x = 2 how far do you go from x = -8 to x = 2 ??

    yep since the ratio is 2:1, this means that the horizontal distance from P to B is cut in half |dw:1437442904123:dw|
