I have to identify the postulate or theorem that proves the triangles congruent.
I've been looking at some examples online, and I'm still very confused. Could someone kindly explain to me, so I can understand better?

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.6congruent also means equivalent. . .

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0Yeah I know, but when I look at the website, and look at the examples, I still don't quite understand. (I'm about to post another photo.)

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.6I think there's a theorem some where about angles and sides being congruent like SAS? Let me check

UsukiDoll

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.6The Side Angle Side postulate (often abbreviated as SAS) states that if two sides and the included angle of one triangle are congruent to two sides and the included angle of another triangle, then these two triangles are congruent.

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0Look at what you are "given" in one of the triangles, the "marked" angles and sides what is marked in one of the triangles?

UsukiDoll

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.6ok hint: SSA theorem doesn't exist.. try typing SSA backwards. (sorry mod but it's kind of funny xD)

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0I've been looking at the definitions, but determining which of the terms goes with it is difficult for me.

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0Look at what you are "given" in one of the triangles, the "marked" angles and sides what is marked in one of the triangles?

anonymous

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0the angle is marked, right?

phi

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0keep going. Yes, and little ) or )) near the angle means it matches that other triangle's ) or ))

anonymous

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0So... would it be SAS?

phi

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0How many angles are marked in one of the triangles?

anonymous
 one year ago
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0That's not even an option on there, lol. Nvm. & two of them?

phi
 one year ago
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0yes, two angles are marked (and they match the two angles in the other triangle that are marked) so you should start by thinking AA something next, what about the sides? are any "marked" ?

anonymous

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0im just gonna listen and learn

anonymous

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0None of the sides are marked

phi
 one year ago
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0First, one of the sides looks bold

UsukiDoll
 one year ago
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.6hmm I see the angles... there could be one side ?

phi
 one year ago
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0Second, one line is a "side" in both triangles ,

anonymous
 one year ago
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0Even if it's not marked?

anonymous
 one year ago
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0So, it's going to be AAS?

phi
 one year ago
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0I think the "bold" means it is marked. but even if it were not, I would say that side is congruent in both triangles. so AAS

UsukiDoll

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.6I'm assuming that the triangles when they're together, they share the same side?

UsukiDoll
 one year ago
Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.6so we have 2 angles and a side. AAS . yup that works

UsukiDoll

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.6I didn't send anything inappropriate to you @DaBest21. I said in the message to show some respect before I blocked you.

phi

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0The way you know it is not ASA is A S A means angle , then a side , then an angle. your picture shows angle, angle , side (if you start at the correct angle)

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.6no. You were being rude me by assuming that I didn't know where the chat is and I already do . So stop going into other people's questions. I said learn some respect. There is nothing inappropriate about it @Dabest21

UsukiDoll

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.6the warning claimed that I've done the off topic question which I didn't in the first place. I'm being wrongly accused here.
