$\tan .7=\frac{ x }{ 24 }$ Is what I got, but if it doesn't work out in the calculator, I would try using $\tan 63=\frac{ x }{ 24 }$ I believe that is what the equation would be, but you should have someone else check it.

the equation involving a trig ratio is tan theta =x/24 ..this ratio would be correct to use since its a right angle triangle, the theta is given and the adjacent side is also given ...now substituting into the equation provided about we can find x which is the opposite side......
