An easy way to solve this is to isolate x by itself. You always want to get the variable by itself to solve! Combine like terms first, so subtract 1.4x from both sides. 1.6x -2.2 -1.4x = 1.4x - 1.4x Can you solve this so far and I'll help you with the next step once you finish?
