Yea my question....
2 inches=25 miles
x inches = 60 miles
B) 2 inches=25 miles
1/4 inches= x miles
Can u just tell me how to do it please
If 2 inches = 25 miles
Than x inches = 60 miles
2*60 = 25*x
Solve for x :)
that equals 4.8
Ok now what?
Divide 25 by 2 to find what one inch would be, then divide that answer by 4 to find the amount of miles for 1/4
So then what should i say for the essay?
Part A: The amount of inches for 60 miles is 4.8. This is because I did _____
Part b: One fourth of an inch is 3.125 miles because I ____
Dont forget the units (4.8!, 3.125!, put 4.8 inches and 3.125 miles)
Part A: The amount of inches for 60 miles is 4.8. This is because I cross multiplied this equation 2 • 25
x • 60
which equals 120/25, then after I got the answer I divided 120 by 25 and it came out as 4.8!
Part B: One fourth of an inch is 3.125 miles because if we take the 25 and divide it by 2 it equals 12.5, then after i divided 12.5 by 4 to get to 1/4 of a mile.. Which equaled 3.125!
