    The equation of a line passing through a point (x1,y1) and having a slope m is given by: (y-y1) = m(x-x1) Here x1 = -3 , y = 7 and m = -1/5 Substitute the values and you get the equation...

    yes so the first terms are obviously y=-1/5 but i'm not sure what the last term is

    yes.. so 5y - 35 = -x - 3 5y = -x - 3 + 35 5y = -x + 32 so y = ??
