There is no link available for Python 2.5.4 to download to Windows 7 as there have been so many versions since then. Is it possible to do the course on a later version?

I don't know which course you are referring to but there are significant differences between 2.x.x and 3.x.x versions. Try the following link https://www.python.org/download/releases/2.5.4/

Just use the latest 2.7.x and it will be close enough for the class. Only the 3.x stuff has major differences.

e.mccormick, have you taken the class start to finish with 2.7, and experienced no problems using 2.7 version? Please let me know.

I did a chunk of it with 2.6.x and some more with 2.7.x and there are other people I have seen on here do the whole thing with 2.7.x. The differences between 2.5.x and 2.7.x are minor. With 3.x, the print statements and even basic math do NOT work the same, so you have to make a lot of corrections to fix this.
