Why did European nations take control of areas in Asia and Africa in the late 1800s? A. Unemployed people in overcrowded cities needed places to live. B. Industrialists needed raw materials, fuel, and places to sell manufactured goods. C. Rulers wanted to spread democracy and capitalism. D. Scholars wanted to study lost civilizations they had only read about.

    Yes your right for a fact China and Asia had LOTS of silk and other things and well africa had the coal and diamonds to fuel factories so B is correct industrialization
