In the same year, there are four open positions for bassoon players in major orchestras, and 123 professional bassoonists audition for these chairs. How will this difference affect salaries? Salaries will depend on performance time. The bassoonists earn a higher salary than the flutists. Bassoonists and flutists will make an equal salary. The flutists earn a higher salary than the bassoonists.
