You’ve read about how Americans supported the troops during World War I. Now, research the way Americans support troops today. Tell about the various activities and contributions that Americans make to our soldiers abroad. Evaluate their efforts and compare them to the efforts of American citizens during World War I.

WW1 soldiers were heavily trained for hand to hand combat while in the trenches, as the modern soldier is more stealth and heavy fire. Even though the WW1 troops were suppose to be all about hand combat, they still had heavy machine guns, artillery, and even grenades. The training for WW1 was much more intense then the training for modern soldiers. Now I am not saying the modern boot camp is not hell, because it is; but compared to WW1 training it is like playing with kittens.
