Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0No problem, it goes like this: for an equation: \[ax ^{2}+bx+c = 0\] You can solve for x using the following formula (quadratic formula): \[x = \frac{ b \pm \sqrt{b^{2}4ac} }{ 2a}\] Hence, in the given equation y = x2 − 8x + 7 and when you set it to zero, i.e. \[x ^{2}− 8x + 7 = 0\] Then our a, b and c are as follows: a = 1 b = 8 c = 7 Now, just plug these into the quadratic formula and see which one out of the options you have is not satisfied. :)))
