    The triangle on the right is a 30 60 90 triangle, so if the hypotenuse is 8, then the small line in the lower right equals 4. The height of the triangle equals the hypotenuse times [(square root of 3) / 2] height = 8 * 0.8660254038 height = 6.9282032303 Area of the triangle = (6.9282032303 * 4) / 2 Area of the triangle = 13.8564064606 Area of the rectangle = 6.9282032303 * 11 Area of the rectangle = 76.210235533 Trapezoid Area = Rectangle Are + Triangle Area = 76.210235533 + 13.8564064606 90.0666419936

    Or to use the trapezoid area formula, The bottom base is 11 + 4 = 15 feet and the top base is 11 feet Area = [(base 1 + base 2) /2] * height Area = [(11 + 15) /2] * 6.9282032303 Area = 13 * 6.9282032303 = 90.0666419936
