I will derive! (parody of I will survive) :D
These are some awesome answers thanks! I like a variety myself, especially longer and kind of relaxing.
any song from the early 90s too...
I dont listen to music, I listen to the sounds of nature. Waves, Thunderstorms, etc
^ How do you listen to that while working on school? I would not be able to concentrate at all.
I put on the music so that I don't have to hear the nature :) (jk)
When I do algebra, I listen to "twinkle twinkle litte stars" When I do calculus, I listen to "benny hill theme" When I write proofs, I need to listen to some hardcore music to beat the silence lol
Nature is the best stuff around get out of here. >.>
all of the different noises in rap music blend together as you are focused. it creates a pump up kinda vibe as you work
Randomness: I spent $500 on a small aquarium, but I had a really bad algae bloom. I couldn't find a way to get rid of the algae. I got so frustrated that I dumped everything in the trash can :O
another randomness: saved a bird from one of my cats. -_________________-!
And that is why you keep the fish in the ocean or in your tummy
if the fish is big enough you can even keep it on the wall
lol I didn't have any fish.
you had aquarium problems and didnt even have any fish? XD
Psh who puts fish in their $500 aquariums @nogoodatgeometry
yes. I was only aquascaping (designing layouts in a tank)
and if anyone has done aquascaping before, you know it's a very expensive hobby :D
If I had that hobby, guess id be doing the layouts in my head instead of..
but honestly that sounds like a creative hobby !
@ganeshie8 it is! you can check out those aquascaping that is done by professionals on youtube. They are breathtakingly beautiful!
Notice he said Creative not fun o.o
@aric200 well, it's fun ... provided that you have money. XD I believed I said it is an *expensive" hobby
I am just not very creative, So I would probably suck at it, only reason it would not be fun :(
I'm not very creative since I've only just started to have the hobby. Well, i'm an an amateur, which explains why I ended up dumping everything in the trash can lol. Could have bought lot nice things with $500 lol
what time is it on the pacific?
here in california USA, it's 3:31 am
where in california?

I had a neighbor in the apartment below me who had this really cool thing with like sea anenomes that would glow in neon colors when he turned on the blacklight over them. Very cool.
California is west coast.
@Empty I believe those are glofish :)
Well when I'm doing work/ studying I like to listen to Hans Zimmer, I just love his composition of music. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e8A7I2xoox8
@sourwing They looked like this: https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/236x/77/b1/75/77b17571abc1c557937127acb3e2bfdf.jpg
Depends on my mood to I guess, I listen to all genres xD
@Empty :O oh. Well, they certainly don't look like fish at all. Never mind lol
Oh you're talking about aquariums, guess I was too late xD
Yeah we're not even calculating the concentration of salt in tanks of water or anywthing
I made an aquarium from my space helmet
well @UsukiDoll was talking about cats. Speaking of cats, has anyone found yourself watching cat videos on youtube for hours? lol
yes... cats are cute ^_^...except when they hunt birds in front of my face >:(
Birds...one thing I don't get, people who keep brids as pets..makes no sense at all.
a duck make a very nice pet lol
seven years ago, there was a cat who ate the bird guts in front of me -_- no consideration... I still remember the slurp, munch, and crunch. ewwww
Is a tiger a cat?
Yes. The are big cats from the family Felidae
are you trying to model the differential equations for growth of cat/bird populations @Astrophysics
paradoxically he's spamming math in the math section while we're not talking about math in math... lol
speaking of differentials. Can dy/dx be a fraction?
Arc length integral?
Eye of the tiger - Survivor Skyrim Dragonborn
@ganeshie8 are you serious....
The real question is *should* you listen to music while doing math?
I think it depends.. I mean as long as the music isn't too loud and you can still concentrate, then go for it
Well, it actually depends on the person, so we can't really say, some people do better with music.
or music that is not too loud
so you can concentrate
i listen to this....... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5iGf_KNuN4w and watch.... it makes me feel so much better bout myself....
I read an article where Beethoven's symphonies actually didn't do much, but Mozart's would make your brain more active and help you think better.
My jam https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rb0UmrCXxVA
Oh yes, I know that theory about Mozart.
cool @Astrophysics Would techno be good for concentrating?
Beethoven's music makes people fall asleep real fast
Not sure...never read a scientific paper about other music really, I think it sort of would ruin the fun of it xD, if it works for you, yay!
This is what I listen to when I do math: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M5DqEHxY4FM
It was a joke relax I don't listen to Mahmoud Awad... lolol
have lots on list :P but David Garrett <3 make a good mood to do math for me https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S7Oe15pRuLM&list=PLPN1tL8FFbmNz7sWLYNyc_D8YFjiVNU3c&index=19
also um in love with monsters of men <3 <3 https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLMogyzvc_OR333NwjsPy6CfNVTlCoEB1m

no need to pretend the calculus of variations is obscure @Astrophysics
@oldrin.bataku what lol
I'm glad that someone mentioned David Garrett :>
Lindsey Stirling !
listen this while doin math https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3YxaaGgTQYM haha jk lol
