Suppose that the equation, y = 1000(1.05)x, represents the average cost of an education at a public college, where x stands for the number of years after 1990. What is the average cost in 1990 (x = 0)?

    oops should be y = 1000(1.05)^x

    okay that helps okay so you just have to re write the equation but instead of x plug in a 0 so it would look like y = 1000(1.05)^0
