Discussion Topic At one time or another, everyone has drawn pictures or doodles on a piece of paper. Many times, these drawings are created using geometric figures like rectangles, triangles, and circles. For instance, you may have drawn a circle to represent the sun or a triangle to represent the roof of a house. What are some other examples where geometric figures could be used? The use of geometric figures is a common theme in artwork. Do some research and find some American artists who use geometry in their work. What are their names? Look at some examples of their work.How do they use the shapes? What do you think may be the purpose of the shapes in their art? What are your feelings toward this type of art? Do you enjoy looking at it? Why or why not?
