    yep so we have 3 − (2x − 5) < -4x-8 we can get rid of the parentheses on the other side 3 − 2x − 5< -4x-8 Combine the like terms

    −2x+8<−4x−8 ^thats what it simplifies too -5-3=-8

    Add 4x to both sides. −2x+8+4x<−4x−8+4x 2x+8<−8 Subtract 8 from both sides. 2x+8−8<−8−8 2x<−16

    not quite why did u flip the symbol? We only do that IF the number you are dividng by is a negative
