I can take harsh criticism because I'm used to the ones around me not knowing what goes on in my head. So read my poem and have at it. Thanks.

Love is Black... What color is love? Love is BLACK Black as coal, Black as night, Black as death What is black? Black is dark; Black is empty Love is BLACK Why? Why is love black? Black is not a real color; it doesn't exist Love does not exist Black is the absence of color Empty, black is empty; love is empty There's nothing there We fill in the black Everyone fears the space; fears the black Filling the space is a waste of time; love is a waste of time Love is BLACK Black as coal; black as night; Black as death Burn coal; coal is still BLACK Stars become night; The night sky is BLACK Death is always waiting; In the end, it's always BLACK Love is BLACK It doesn't change; it will run out; you can't stop it Love is BLACK

if youre going for dark and negative emotions then you hit it right on the head. a little harsh but true. i felt whatever pain you were referring to. i cant tell if i like that its not very descriptive because i like the simplicity of it but then again readers might be able to really feel it more if there are more descriptive words. it just depends what youre going for

Totally get what you're saying and thanks, haha. And The whole thing with simplistic words i totally get too. I intentionally use simple words because I'm more into the reader making their own conclusions. I am very fond of the concept of perspective and I am very interested in how other people interpret my work. Just fyi not all my poems are dark lol ;)
