Sara and Jane go off a cliff. Sara steps off the cliff, while Jane dives straight out. Sara weighs 20 pounds more than Jane. Which girl will enter the water first? Explain. I'm thinking that they both enter the water at the same time but i'm not really sure.

    Yes, I think you're correct, assuming that all air resistance is ignored. The key idea here is that the horiz and vertical components of any projectile motion are independent of each other. So both girls hit the water at the same instant.
