In between the two boxes the text 'Infiltration' is beside an arrow point down, and the letter 'Y' is beside an arrow pointing up. What does Y most likely represent? well river ocean aquifer

Arrow pointing up means groundwater to surface water. Ocean water is not groundwater. Rivers go the ocean or to groundwater and they are already surface water. Since you did not show a picture, I would assume its not a well since they are stationed at certain places. Aquifer is any area where water from underneath (groundwater) enters the surface.
