- anonymous

4 is the 11.5 right?

- anonymous

if so 4 is correct

- anonymous

otherwise...both wrong

- anonymous

neither of the answer has 3.6 in it

- anonymous

well for number 4 apply pythagoras theorem
6.5^2 = 3^2 + y ^2
solve and get value of y which will be y = 5.76
as i have found the half of the length , so
x =2y
x =11.5

- anonymous

ooh yah i messed up on 3 hold up

- anonymous

yea lolli put on the 3) thats why i asked lol

- anonymous

Hyp ^2 = base ^2 + perpendicular ^2
in your 3rd question case
base = 11/2
perp = 3.6
so
hyp^2 = 5.5^2 + 3.6^2
hyp^2 = 43.21
hyp =6.57
nah 3 is correct lol

- anonymous

hopefully you are not lying

- anonymous

me not

- anonymous

i got 6.57

- anonymous

two of us confirmed the answers :3
medal for doge

- anonymous

it cant be 6.57 because that is not one of the options . Am I being played right now?

- anonymous

nope wit r your choices?

- anonymous

I'd rather not say so no one will just pick a random one and play me. I have been played before so.

- anonymous

lemme draw it out for you|dw:1438681139344:dw|

- anonymous

you can see it better now?

- anonymous

exactly wit doge wrote

- anonymous

it says round the nearest tenth so perhaps you didnt do that

- anonymous

yes

- anonymous

can you post the answer choices? i will somehow figure it out and show meh steps

- anonymous

I dont know why you are getting it wrong.

- anonymous

but okay..

- anonymous

._.

- anonymous

the face is cute : O

- anonymous

:P

- anonymous

is one of the choices 6.6?

- welshfella

r^2 = 3.6^2 + 5.5^2

- anonymous

3.) 4.2
6.6
10.4
11.6
4.) 3.6
5.8
11.5
14.3

- anonymous

yah its 6.6 6.57 rounds to 6.6

- welshfella

the perpendicular line from the center to the chord bisects the chord

- anonymous

- anonymous

yea

- anonymous

lemee see

- anonymous

did u get 11.5?

- anonymous

3.6

- anonymous

wrong

- anonymous

then no cause i got 11.5

- anonymous

lol i think i may have mixed up the asnwers

- anonymous

i posted this above :P

- anonymous

np

- welshfella

No. 4
6.5^2 = 3^2 + (0.5x)^2

- anonymous

|dw:1438681557255:dw|Find the base of triangle and multiply by 2

- anonymous

@welshfella is that correct then?

- welshfella

yes

- anonymous

alrighty

- welshfella

11.5 is correct for number 4
