~Will give medal to the person who helps ~ Grace is standing 14 feet from a lighthouse and Kelly is standing 12 feet from Grace. The angle that Grace looks up to see the top of the lighthouse is 45°. The angle that Kelly looks up to see the top of the lighthouse is y°. A.Find the height, h, of the lighthouse. B.Find the angle, rounded to the nearest tenth of a degree, in which Kelly looks up to the top of the lighthouse. C. To the nearest tenth of a degree, find the value of x° . In two or more sentences, explain your calculations (picture will be below)

soo far I was thinking maybe I should be using Tan for A to get the value of h ~ but im a little iffy if im right

Height should be easy Triangle BAG is a 45 45 90 triangle so its height is 14 feet

    yea I calculated that by using tan so did i do it right ? \[\tan 45 = h/ 14 \] right ??? thats the right equation ?

Now for part B Kelly's angle would be the arc tangent of (14/26)= the arc tangent of 0.5384615385 =28.301 degrees

Yes, that's right (kind of a lousy problem that uses a 14 foot lighthouse - kinda small isn't it?)

I looked up the question for help on how to do it but they kept saying its 71 for a which is weird since its kind of impossible to get 71.

soo a is 14 b is 28.3 since we have to round to the nearest tenth now for c

They are saying height = 71? Okay for part c we know y = 28.3 The angle to the right of the 45 degree angle would be 180 - 45 = 135 degrees
