What does it mean when we say that the hospitality and tourism industry is "perishable"?

    Ok, well to perish means, essentially, to die. It's to suffer through destruction. Obviously, we know what "able" means, which is the ability to (...), so when you combine them you get your meaning. Perishable means that it is able to and likely to die, collapse, etc.
