Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0First you calculate the slope. which is y2  y1 OVER x2  x1 which would be 3  3 divided by 41 which equals 2, thats your (M) value, in slope intercept form which is y = mx + b now you plug in the values for x and y in the equation which would give you 3 = 2(4) + b now you multiply 2 and 4 which gives you 8 then you subtract 8 from both sides because its positive and that gives you 5 = b
