In the following diagram, which of the following is true? Reaction proceeding on x-axis, energy on y-axis; the reaction starts off on a horizontal line, then peaks, then falls to another horizontal line higher than the first. The overall energy change for the forward reaction is less than the overall energy change for the reverse reaction. The forward and reverse reactions are equal in terms of their energy requirements. The reverse reaction requires less activation energy than does the forward reaction. If the temperature decreases, the forward reaction will stop.
