Do you capitalize the word after a dot if you are using an abbreviation?

    For an example like if you are saying "Martin Luther King Jr. is a person" Would you capitalize "is" or leave it lowercase?

    You would leave it as lower case, because the abbreviation does not conclude a sentence. :)
