I have no idea, sorry. Where's a math/trigonometry genius when you need them!

2. anonymous

I am really confused on this

3. LunyMoony

I did these once, but I sucked at them and I have no idea how I got through them

$$sin(\theta)+\dfrac{cos(\theta)}{sin(\theta)}= 1+ cos (\theta)$$, right?

5. Loser66

and we have to prove it, right?

6. anonymous

yep

7. Loser66

It is not identity, how to prove?? counterexample, $$\theta = \pi/6$$

8. Loser66

Left hand side: $$1/2+ \sqrt3=\dfrac{1+2\sqrt3}{2}$$ Righ hand side :$$1+\sqrt3/2 =\dfrac{2+\sqrt3}{2}$$

9. Loser66

Hence $$LHS\neq RHS$$

i am going to make a guess `
