Theres no such thing as an American because it doesn't make sense. People are only compensating for the fact that it's what they've been raised knowing. But isn't it necessary to seek truth? If China invaded France tomorrow and raped women and children, tortured, enslave, and mass murdered 99% of their ppl and then proclaimed that France was THEIR land and that THEY, the Chinese, are the REAL French people, how in the actual FUK does that make sense? They then started to complain about ppl not speaking Chinese in France and told immigrants to go back to their fukin country. How does this make sense? There is no such thing as an "American" unless you're NATIVE American. Otherwise, we're all just immigrants. We need to make America multicultural. Currently it benefits white people and their European cultural roots. Look at black americans. They're whole culture derives from European culture because they were enslaved and indoctrinated to their European slave master roots. @vera_ewing

the term American is a political tool just as any other nationality and even ethnicity. It serves to mobilize people to achieve an agenda.

just as the term Asian or Asian American did not exist and a fairly new term to lump the different group of people with roots from the Asian continent into one.

An ethnic identification is NOT a political tool. It serves as a mean to produce an identity, adherence to a culture, shared history, common genetic roots, etc.

Asia is a continent in which people in that continent identify themselves. A Native American just like an Asian can be from different regions but are still NATIVE AMERICAN. If you're Korean then you're still an ASIAN since you belong to that continent. You CANT be white and be american. ROFLLLLLLL you're just a European immigrant.

It's time america admits its wrongs and truly live for the "ideals" that it promotes. The ideals of equality and freedom for all ONLY applied to white ppl UNTIL the Civil Rights Movement. And even today racial inequality is prevalent. It's time white people admit their wrongs and we all move on. Enough with this bullpellet.

even ethnic identification has been used as a political tool as I was saying earlier, there is no strong division, boundary on the construction of ethnicity and nationality. The only one thing they have in common is THEY both ARE a communal IDENTITY. I am happy to exchange ideas. I can only provide from what I've gathered so far from studying the Nuer people of Sudan, The Tutsi and Hutus, the Hmong people, the disintegration of Yugoslavia, and pellet who knows what other stuff I've been made to study and write papers about.

I wouldn't mind being labeled as a permanent immigrant instead of an "american." It's just wrong to call yourself something that you're not. Especially after raping their women and children, mass murdering 120 million and making even a holiday after it (Thanksgiving), torturing, enslaving and other atrocities.

Can you do quotidian things without worrying and stressing that you'll be judged for your skin color? Do you have to even worry about being stereotyped? Dude. If you're sitting behind your screen with a smirk on your face like "i don't really care i'm just going to enjoy it" YOU'RE PART OF THE PROBLEM. Why teach your kids right and wrong if that's your attitude? You're a fake piece of sh1t if that's your attitude. Dishonorable.

I agree. I'm not for any type of supremacy, for neither male or female, or anything, but I think more and more marketing projections should just be less for the rich white woman who wants her Avon makeup. Blame the media, and different companies honestly. There are people changing this, have you seen Tyra Bank's new makeup line? Shes doing what you're wishing more people would do, widen the audience to more than just the rich white woman. And yeah! Hes a huge Ron Paul fan! Well everybody can do things that they feel is the right thing to do. Tyra Banks perpetuates western standards of beauty through her America's Top Model show and perpetuates things like the 1 drop rule or even the western culture she promotes through practice. She's on the right track but if she could take some classes in sociology and cultural anthropology she could make an effective change.

A lot of people may say "oh well but you can learn sociology and cultural anthropology on your own!" Well, not exactly. I thought the same way until I actually took courses in it and wow.... What a difference it makes being taught in an actual classroom with rigor. There are insights and contexts you can't learn through books and online reading materials. Some things you just need to learn through a professional.

I like that shes bringing out to "create your own beauty" with her makeup, which is her huge outline. And creating more of a variety for people. And you cant knock her for being a model, yknow? Shes been a model since she was 15. I remember modeling when I was 14 myself, you're kind of pressed on that kind of lifestyle in the western cultured style, since I'm in America. Not everyone takes classes in sociology though. I'm going to Full Sail soon to be a Game Designer, not much sociology in that, tbh. Sociology should be taught in highschools though, couldnt agree more. people should be learning and expanding on the concept of humans and different cultures. Highly lacked in today's education.

Honestly, being in highschool, I had huge rants on the lessons that minimized the natives. I know first hand, trust and believe. Huge papers just slamming the lesson and explaining how people can just be disgusted with the holocaust and the communist manifesto, but teach something just as bad, and call it education.
