The price of a gallon gasoline went from $2.10 to $2.54 over the course of one week. What is the percent increase in price, rounded to the nearest percent ?

    first find the fraction: new - old all divided by old in this case, new is 2.54 and old is 2.10 after you get the fraction, divide (use a calculator) to make it a decimal. then multiply by 100 to make it a percent. can you do that ?
