Module 1 What is the difference between ethics and law? How have the ideas in the Founding Documents, like the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution, helped shape the government and laws of the United States? Module 2 How is the idea of federalism applied to the court system? How is power divided and balanced between the people and the government? Between the states and the federal government? Between the branches of government? Module 3 Who are some of the people involved in a criminal court case? What roles do they play?

Ethics do not have punishments, fines or associated penalties when people fail to abide by them while laws do. Both set standards of expected societal actions, but laws enforce actions while ethics set forth social guidelines

They were originally outlined to preserve our rights...but that has gone out the window as laws todayare too abundant and absurd and most infringe on our freedoms rather than protect them. Our founders said too many laws is a product of tyranny
