Well, what do you want to store for a book rental? What do they ask you any time you rent something? Each table is generally a related set of things. For example, a "Customer" table would likely have name, address, phone number, etc. For a rental place they might have number of times late or other rental specific things. This would be different from the table of items in stock and items rented out. Each customer would have an ID number. That would be a master key for that table. Then, any time someone rents a video out it is listed as rented to that ID number. Typical reports for this sort of thing would be sales, lates, release dates (so you know when to put out the new stock) and so on. That should give you some ideas to work with.
