## anonymous one year ago How do I solve this system?? Y=-x+3 Y=3/2x-2

1. LynFran

equate the 2 equations and solve..

2. anonymous

1/2x+1?

3. LynFran

now bring the x" to one side of the equation...like.. -x+x+3+2=3/2x+x-2+2 3+2=3/2x+x

4. anonymous

No this doesn't make sense

5. anonymous

All I know is the answer is 2,1 but idk how to get it

6. LynFran

$-x+3=\frac{ 3 }{ 2 }x-2$$-x+3+2=\frac{ 3 }{ 2 }x$$-x+5=\frac{ 3 }{ 2 }x$$5=\frac{ 5 }{ 2 }x$$5/\frac{ 5 }{ 2 }=x$$2=x$

7. LynFran

now sub x=2 into equation 1 or 2 to get y value

8. LynFran

using equation 1 we get y=-x+3 y=-(2)+3 y=-2+3 y=1

9. LynFran

so yes the answer is (2,1)
