anonymous one year ago The height of a cylinder is 3 units. Its radius is 10 units. What is the volume of the cylinder, in cubic units? (Use π = 3.14) a.314 cubic units b.942 cubic units c.3,140 cubic units d.9,420 cubic units

What is the formula for the volume of a cylinder?

2. anonymous

Remember that the formula of a cylinder volume is $V=\pi \color{red}{r ^{2}}\color{green}h$ where r is radius and green is height, by replacing with $\color{red}r=10, \color{green}h=3$ So $V=3.14\cdot\color{red}{10^{2}}\cdot \color{green}3$

do i multiply them together?

4. jtvatsim

Yes, multiplication is often represented by little dots $\cdot$ or by "x"s $\times$ but they mean the same thing. :)

but when i multiplied 3.14 by 100 and by three it equaled to 942 and thats not one of the answers
