write the empirical formula of at least four binary ionic compounds that could be formed from the following ions: Fe2+, V5+, F-, O2-

    They're asking you to make compounds with two ions (1 cation and 1 anion) such that the charges are balanced. For example, \(Fe^{2+}\) has a 2+ charge and \(F^-\) has a 1- charge. To make a compound from these you would need 1 \(Fe^{2+}\) and 2 \(F^-\) to balance the charges. The formula would be \(FeF_2\).

    \(\sf OF_2\) wont work, they're both anions.

    it's possible to obtain that compound, but it with be with the cation \(O^{2+}\).
