Generally online classes will give you a specific amount of credit hours for the semester. The best thing you can do with online classes is look for certificates or ABES/ABE (or whatever is applicable to your area of study, mine would be M-ABET) accredited courses that employers will look for in the future. Generally if you skim through the "work experience" sections of job posts, there will be a specific criteria to meet like this one on Boeing's Website for MR&D entry level Automation & Inspection tech: "Level 1 - Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard." If the job you're looking towards doesn't require or accept ABET and you're only taking the class for credit hours, my suggestion is to talk to your department head to find out which classes carry-over. Hope this helps, have a good one.

There are students in \(Open~Study\) who learn and earn certificates through this site. Are you searching for these ??
