A certain type of parasite measures .0012mm on its first day of life. It then triples in length each day after that. How many days will it take for the parasite to grow to be 150 mm?

    \(y = k(3^{x-1})\) y = the size on any day x. k is the initial size Let y = 150, x = 0.0012, and solve for x.
