    look at oxygens oxidation state it goes from -2 to -2 it doesn't change

    remember if oxidation state goes up, you lose electrons, aluminum is oxidized

    it must be the first one because we already agree that aluminum is oxidized goes from 0 to +3 and that means it loses electrons.
