Define ''enlightenment'' and describe why the term is so appropriate when describing the ideological revolution that occurred during the 17th and 19th centuries. Maybe give some examples? Thank you

    well, the definition of enlightment is: the action of enlightening or the state of being enlightened. being said, it is kind of like the renaissance. they became more, "intelligent", you could say.
