Compounds and elements are pure substance in which the constituents cannot be separated by any physical process.Colloid is a homogeneous non-crystalline substance consisting of large molecules or ultramicroscopic particles of one substance dispersed through a second substance. like milk is a colloid or dust in air is an example of colloid. When we make homogenous mixtures like by dissolving salt, sugar in water etc. That's a solution.
