HELP! I have no idea how to do this Let f(x) = x2 + x + 2 and g(x) = 2x2 + 5. Find f(g(x)). Show each step of your work

    okay so substitute all x for g(x) value into f(x) function \[\rm f(\color{Red}{g(x)})\] does it make sense ?

    alright \[\huge\rm f(\color{ReD}{2x^2+5})=\color{Red}{x}^2+\color{red}{x}+2\] replace all x's with g(x) function which is 2x^2 +5

    f(2x^2+5) is same as saying f(g(x))

    yes after that you would get the answer \[\huge\rm f(\color{Red}{g(x)})= (\color{Red}{2x^2+5})^2+(\color{Red}{2x^2+5})+\color{Red}{2}\]

    remember (2x2+5)^2 is same as (2x^2+5)(2x^2+5) foil it and then combine like terms :)
