    try first one f(x) = 4x + 7 g(x) = x - 3 replace the x in 4x - 7 by x - 3 and see if it rearranges to 4x + 11

    Let's do choice A as an example. g(x) = x - 3 Now we replace x of f(x) with x - 3 f(x) = 4x + 7 f(g(x)) = 4(x - 3) + 7 f(g(x)) = 4x - 12 + 7 f(g(x)) = 4x - 5 Since our f(g(x)) is not equal to the f(g(x)) we were given, choice A is not the answer. Now do the same with the other choices until you find the answer.

    when you use g(x) as your x in f(x) the answer is 4x + 11
