Nancy had n amount of money in her account before the deposit. Then she deposited $20. When you have money in a bank account and you deposit more money, how do you know how much money in total you have now? What operation do you do to your money in the account and the new deposit to find the total amount?

We know the total amount of money in the bank account after the deposit is $225. That means n + 20 = 225.50 or 20 + n = 225.50
