Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0So say you had 8x + 4. 4 is common to both 4 and 8, so when you factor it out it looks like 4(2x+1). When you multiply 4 and 2x, you get 8x, and when you multiply 4 and 1, you get 4.
