Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0Independent variable here would be the weight on the spring since the weight on the spring stretches the spring. On the other hand, distance of the stretch would be dependent variable because it depends on the weight on the spring exerting a downward force or whatever the direction opposite to the compression of the spring.
