What is different about residential construction on the local level from residential construction on the national level? Local residential markets depend more on what’s happening at the national level. Local residential housing markets tend to perform as well as the residential market nationally. Economic impacts at the national level tend to reach residential markets at the local level slowly. Residential construction is local in its effects even though those effects have a national impact.
