Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.1look at what is in the parens 4x + 2y + x − y that shows you have 4 x's plus 1 more x how many x's is that ? it also shows 2 y's take away 1 y. how many y's is that ?

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.1ok but they are added so 5x+2y (I used 4 x's plus 1 more x to make it clearer what we are doing... but people just write 4x+1x= 5x )
