I would have to add 60 I think
Nnesha
  • Nnesha
you think? 65+60+55= 180 ?
anonymous
  • anonymous
Yep..... because 55+65=120+60=180
Nnesha
  • Nnesha
|dw:1440603491506:dw| that middle angle is equal to arc length and remember circle add up to 360 degree
Nnesha
  • Nnesha
|dw:1440603622994:dw|
Nnesha
  • Nnesha
wait a sec...
anonymous
  • anonymous
60+65=125 180-125=55 So it would be 55.....
Nnesha
  • Nnesha
ima thinking i'm trying to understand wht u did there haha
anonymous
  • anonymous
Ok..... Just ignore what did lol. ^.^
Nnesha
  • Nnesha
|dw:1440604524391:dw| you need to all 4 angles and then subtract it from 360
anonymous
  • anonymous
ok.....
anonymous
  • anonymous
So... 360-235=125
anonymous
  • anonymous
So 125 is the answer then, right?
Nnesha
  • Nnesha
i got different answer ;-;
anonymous
  • anonymous
*face palm* I sorry
Nnesha
  • Nnesha
wait a sec sorry let m confirm it first sorry
anonymous
  • anonymous
ok
Nnesha
  • Nnesha
i think BN= 65 degree and you r taking 55 for NB hmm
anonymous
  • anonymous
well yah....
Nnesha
  • Nnesha
so 'm pretty sure u're right duahhh
Nnesha
  • Nnesha
ignore me plz ,-,

Yeah, arc NB is 55 degrees (angle NEB is vertical angle of angle MEA =55 degrees) @OM14forever BUT question asks arc MEB, so the arc must pass through E, so it's the major arc that you need. What do you think it is?
Nnesha
  • Nnesha
\(\color{blue}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @OM14forever So... 360-235=125 \(\color{blue}{\text{End of Quote}}\) ^
mathmate
  • mathmate
Oh, you're right, question asks arc MCB, so it is 360-235=115, correct. My apologies!
anonymous
  • anonymous
Hahahahaha
anonymous
  • anonymous
But 360-235=125..... Or so I thought
Nnesha
  • Nnesha
thanks @mathmate :=)

I like the pic! lol
Nnesha

ye so you were wrong muahhahahhah :P jk jk

:( But no problem!
anonymous
  • anonymous
115+235=350..... @mathmate
Nnesha
  • Nnesha
i was kidding so yeah NB =65 55+65+60+65=? and then subtract 360
anonymous
  • anonymous
I don't get it.....
Nnesha
  • Nnesha
\[55+65+60+65\cancel{=}235\]
anonymous
  • anonymous
Actually that equals 245
Nnesha
  • Nnesha
|dw:1440606905435:dw|

  • anonymous
*hides after makes that comment*
Nnesha
  • Nnesha
yes right now subtract 360
Nnesha
  • Nnesha
lol
anonymous
  • anonymous
But but but 65+65+60 is not 180
Nnesha
  • Nnesha
right
Nnesha
  • Nnesha
|dw:1440607012964:dw| those 3 angles should add up to 180 lol
anonymous
  • anonymous
|dw:1440607035238:dw|
mathmate
  • mathmate
arc NB is 55 because angle NEB=angle MEA = 55 degrees (vertical angles)
Nnesha
  • Nnesha

mathmate
  • mathmate
@OM14forever Yes, that's another good way to show it!

\(\color{blue}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @mathmate Oh, you're right, question asks arc MCB, so it is 360-235=115, correct. My apologies! \(\color{blue}{\text{End of Quote}}\) lol 360-235 =125
anonymous
  • anonymous
so the 180+55=35
anonymous
  • anonymous
^235
Nnesha
  • Nnesha
you said it's equal to 115 s o i thought NB=65
anonymous
  • anonymous
But I still think it's equal to 125 because 115 doesn't make sense to me.....
Nnesha
  • Nnesha
yes right 360-235=125 not 115 :P :=)
mathmate
  • mathmate
MY BAD: 360-235=125 I was not thinking!

That's ok lol. ^.^

And just to clarify.... The answer is 235 or 125?
Nnesha
  • Nnesha
hahah i was kidding highest ss .... doesn't mean i'm smart lol
anonymous
  • anonymous
Thanks a lot lol. I was feeling bad
Nnesha
  • Nnesha
|dw:1440607918662:dw| length of red arc is greater that the black one :=) :=) don't feel bad thats fine SMILE !|dw:1440608078330:dw|
Nnesha
  • Nnesha
than*
mathmate
  • mathmate
My bad again! Find the angle of arc MCB, yes, it's just 235, no need to deduct from 360. Guess it's not my best day! lol @Nnesha @OM14forever
anonymous
  • anonymous
Oh okay. Well you both have given me a laugh today. So thank and have a nice day.
Nnesha
  • Nnesha
yes it's 235 :P
mathmate
