    Divide the whole thing by 4 x^2-3x=8 x^2-3x+ 9/4= 8+9/4 x^2-3x+9/4= 41/4 (x-9/2)^2= 41/4 square root (x- 9/4)^2= +- Square root 41/4 x-9/4=+- square root 41/square root 4 +9/4 x=9/4+- square root 41/2

    x^2 - 3x - 8 = 0 (x - 1.5)^2 - 2.25 - 8 = 0 (x - 1.5)^2 = 10.25 x - 1.5 = +- sqrt 10.25 x = 1.5 +/- sqrt10.25
