In binomial names, the first letter of the genus is capitalized, and the rest is lowercase, and the whole thing is italicized.

@A.J While writing scientific names, The genus name should be written first, and begin with a capital letter. The species name should come second, and be entirely lower case. Also, the scientific names are always in latin. and can include percent (%) in scientific notation too. There are precise conventions to follow when writing a scientific name. Genus Name 1. The genus name is written first. 2. The genus name is always underlined or italicised. 3. The first letter of the genus name is always capitalized Example: Astrophytum or Astrophytum Specific Name 1. The specific epithet is written second. 2. The specific epithet is always underlined or italicised. 3. The first letter of the specific epithet name is never capitalized. Example: myriostigma or myriostigma Scientific Name - The scientific name of this plant would appear as follows: Astrophytum myriostigma or Astrophytum myriostigma Was that helpful ?

It is entirely written in italics. The only capital letter is the 1st letter of the 1st name . All the other letters are in simple form. And no letters are in bold .So would go with the the last answer !
