    Sandra needs to deliver 20 cases of celery to the farmer’s market directly east across the river, which is 32m wide. Her boat can move at 2.5Km/h in still water. The river has a current of 1.2Km/h flowing downstream, which happens to be moving in a southerly direction. a) Determine her velocity relative to the shore.@IrishBoy123

    oh balls.... the shore is a continuum, it just runs all the way in the vertical direction thus, her velocity relative to the shore is 2.5 kph, assuming that she is trying to sail right across from shore to shore and even if the current is pulling her south at 1.2kph, her velocity relative to the opposite shoreline is 2.5kph
